Kate Mawby is a Vinyasa Yoga teacher, originally from a small village near the Peak District in England. She now lives in Pamplona, Spain, where she organises and teaches yoga classes in La Vieja Escuela. Kate is also as an independent fashion and textiles designer and teaches on University design courses.
Kate discovered yoga in 2006 whilst living a fast-paced, high-stress lifestyle, as a Fashion Knitwear Designer in New York. Yoga became her moment of peace and deep relaxation, benefitting mind and body. The transformation she experienced has led her to make decisions leading towards a more mindful and satisfying life. She started teaching Vinyasa in 2013 after completing her Yoga Teacher Training with Frog Lotus Yoga. She is dedicated to her personal practice, continually learning, in order to offer the best to her students.
Kate’s classes are taught in English, her native language, and are suitable for varying levels of English and yoga experience. Classes include mindful meditation, pranayama (breathing exercises), asanas (poses) and relaxation.
Matt is a Vinyasa and Yin Yoga teacher, originally from the far away town of Wellington, New Zealand. He has been living in Pamplona for more than 10 years and has given classes in Yoga Studio Pamplona, the Kula Centre and various other places. Matt is also an acupuncturist, an English teacher and Shiatsu massage therapist.
He started to practise yoga when he was 19 in Australia and has been teaching since 2009. He has studied in Australia and India with famous masters, which contributes to a unique experience in his classes. He mixes traditional yoga poses with more modern styles with a lot of movement, fluidity, laughter and fun.
Matt teaches his classes in English and Spanish, and both are suitable for any level. Although some classes are in English, there is always the possibility of translating and explaining things in more detail, before or after the class, or in suitable moments during the class.
